Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s teachings reach way beyond the DoJang. And although it is always a joy and a pleasure to come to Jung Suwon and train there, and build our foundation there, there is a lot more to training.
“You need to be able to take charge, be ready, any time, any place!” Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim says. That is why some advanced training happens outside the DoJang.
On the last post, you saw the brand new outdoor Jung Suwon DoJang, with all its exciting equipment.
But what if you end up in the water? What if you are in a situation that you are completely unfamiliar with?
Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim explains it this way:
“If you pour water into a round dish, water appears to be round. If you pour it into a square, now the water appears square. Whatever the shape of the container – that is the shape of the water inside. However, the water itself remains the same. No matter what the container looks like, the essence of the water is always the same.”
So whatever environment we are in – our spirit, our being, should always be the same. Nothing will hold us back!
Now watch how one of our teen warriors was able to take charge – in the water!
HE CAN DO, SHE CAN DO, WHY NOT ME!
